Oh. Where do I begin? I love this work by Chinese artist Xu Ying. The square pieces are pencil & acrylic on canvas, and the circles are pencil & acrylic on cotton fabric. Pencil and acrylic? Clearly I need new pencils because mine don’t do that. ps. Those legs. I’m dying over those fabulous floating legs. Happy Monday.

    “Confession” is absolute my top one! It’s based on my own feeling of searching self-value and self-identity sinced I moved to a new country and started everything new.( same as most of the paintings with woman body )

    i like reading the conversation above. artist jabbering is neat and inspiring.
    i love the blue, delicately drawn porcelain designs set against pencil drawing. at first i thought the figures were photos and it was a collage piece. wow! amazing hand drawn!
