zemer peled
Wow. Ceramic shards transformed into beautifully bizarre {very sharp} botanicals. I’ve written about Israeli artist Zemer Peled‘s gorgeous work before, but I just had to post about her current solo exhibition, titled “Nomad”. The up-close photos of Zemer’s pieces are gorgeous, but understanding their scale within a space makes them even more crazy amazing. These installation shots are from Mark Moore Gallery in LA where this work will be on display from now until November 5th, 2016. Go… but don’t touch anything. It’s sharp!
Amazing,other-worldly, and beautiful! I wonder how on earth, though, these are packed for transport without breaking!
Such amazing contrast in these pieces. So harsh and spiky, but also fragile and delicate looking at the same time. I am drawn to them and repelled at the same time-kind of like a poisonous mushroom you want to touch that is beautiful but also possibly deadly.
I’m really drawn to this art, its dense details, not understanding its scale, even believing it’s a soft bending material. Damn. It’s hard? It’s pottery? Completely unexpected and even more unreal, but so very lovely. Yes, jealous!
It’s like the ocean floor has come alive in ceramic! They look so delicate.
really neat! intricate and intense and intriguing. how can it be ceramics. so cool!
You find the most amazing things, I am so glad I found your blog. I work in clay and these pieces are so impressive. Her skill in putting these strange, yet beautiful pieces is very impressive!
Any idea what she uses to hold it all together? Stunning work.
based on her instagram feed i think they are built raw and fired as a single piece https://www.instagram.com/p/BJJrwfdhKpj/?taken-by=zemerpeled
