i’m jealous of nathalie lété

Oh boy. Scarves covered in dogs, cats, and random forest creatures. LOVE! This is the work of Paris based artist Nathalie Lété… but these are seriously just the tip of a gigantic iceberg of amazing, bizarre, fantastic stuff! For example, if dog scarves aren’t your thing, could I interest you in this?

A steak n’ roses area rug. See… amazing, bizarre, fantastic!

The rug is amazing, I’m on the hunt for a rug maker that can do custom stuff like this. Do you know if she loomed this herself or worked with someone?

i know, right!? she also has one that looks like a giant roast chicken : ) anyway, it says “Pure wool of New Zealand handtufted rugs” – here’s her contact page if you want to reach out and ask her: http://www.nathalie-lete.com/#!contact/c7rr

@Toban Nichols: there’s a Danish carpet company called Ege who can produce whatever design/pattern you want. They make all white carpet and then print onto it using what is essentially a massive inject printer. I’ve visited their factory and it’s amazing. I don’t know if they do shaped rugs, but might be worth investigating for what you want.

The one with the deer and the one with the owl are calling me (hollering at me). Wow. I don’t think I could wear them–would have to hang them.
