i’m jealous of eleanor lines

eleanorlines1

The first thing I noticed about these beautifully layered landscapes by UK artist Eleanor Lines, was the bright blue painted sky. It’s such a great combo with the photos that are layered on top. There’s no inside scoop on her site as to what these are about… I’m guessing it was a weird dream involving a road trip across the mid-western United States? Eleanor, if you’re out there, let me know how far off I am!

{Once again I have to thank Design for Mankind for this find!}

    Hello, this is Eleanor Lines. You aren’t far off! It was a mixture of road trips and train journeys across the mid west. When I returned to England everything became distorted and dreamlike in my head and I came up with those… I’ve just returned from the west coast with heeps of inspiration, so watch this space.

    Hey, thanks for writing Eleanor! Wow, I’m quite proud of myself for coming up with that theory then. Can’t wait to see the west coast work… keep me posted!
