i’m jealous of jen gotch
LOVE!!! A friend pointed me to the portfolio of LA based photographer Jen Gotch… and I have basically just shown you everything in her ‘personal’ section! Well, that was the first half… here’s the second half:
Sweet jiminy… I love it all! She also has some gorgeous prints for sale… oh, ok, I’ll show you a few of my favorite shots from that section of her site too!
Gah. So good! Ok, I’ll stop now.
Nice! I love the text/photo combos. That Skateland is here where I am, in Memphis. I’ve painted it several times, as have all local art students 🙂 It’s such a great landmark!
oh, i’d love to see your painting of it! (couldn’t find it on your site)
I love these! I realize this is self-promoting, but the first body reminds me of my own work. I too use Polaroids to explore memories and couple them with text. Here is a blog of the work http://thefearofforgetting.blogspot.com/
Here is a book version of it http://www.blurb.com/bookstore/detail/2415206
(Yes, I feel like a tool for putting my own links on here, but they are relevant. I promise.)
ha! very cool brian… and very relevant ; )
I love Jen Gotch’s polaroids! They’re amazing.
so amazing! love them ALL!
ps. congrats on the big move! all will feel settled soon… i promise! : )
wow, i am so loving and inspired by the polaroids and scrawled text. i would love to incorporate that aesthetic into a project.
btw just visited your blog for the first time today and i am so coming back! i would love to attend a girl crush party in canada – don’t forget us here 🙂 as someone who designs/works in the arts it is so refreshing to find blogs like yours. thank you so much for sharing your finds with us readers!!
These are so awesome! I love the horse one the most. It’s kind of fabulous and I want to lovingly copy it as a drawing for my own apartment.
go for it!
