Ooh, pages jam-packed with collections of nature’s wonders! Love love love… perhaps it’s because I grew up in a house with my artistic mother who painted watercolor mushrooms, but these fungi spoke to me immediately. And then, the succulents of course… who can resist watercolor cacti!? Not me. This is the fun, candy-hued work of Canadian artist Carolyn Gavin. ps. Prints, ridiculously affordable prints, of her whimsical work can be found in her shop.

Carolyn’s work is amazing; I’m never not wowed by it. Did you see the heirloom carrots?

    Dear Madam Carolyn Gavin

Concerning a Mushroombook we are about to publish we would like to ask your permission to use two images we believe it is yours. If this is not the case then we would like to know who we can ask. We hope you are the right person to ask for this and we hope you will help us.

We would like to use the image of your Mushroom painting. We found this image on this website.

We are volunteers of Hortus Nijmegen, the Botanical Gardens of Nijmegen in the Netherlands. Currently we are working on a book about mushrooms. We intend to use this book for field trips nature study and education (only non-commercial purposes). The book will be published in a limited edition (500-1000 copies) and only in the Dutch language. We expect the book to be released in the course of 2018.

Please, would you be so kind as to send us your email address so that I can explain our request in more detail.

We are looking forward to your response.

    Yours faithfully
