Oh, I am so doing this. In fact, my little sketchbook for the Sketchbook Project just arrived in the mail from the Brooklyn Art Library yesterday! Wanna do it too? Yes! We just missed the 2017 cut off, but I’m all in for 2018. Here are the ins and outs of this very cool project (est. 2006):
A GLOBAL ART PROJECT
Submit your work to the world’s largest collection of sketchbooks where it will reside in Brooklyn Art Library’s permanent collection, travel to exhibitions across the country and become part of a massive worldwide community of creative people. Anyone – from anywhere in the world – can be a part of the project. Oh yay! This project is so much fun! I filled a sketchbook for this a few years back, and am looking forward to participating again for 2018. Danielle, thank you so much for your blog and podcast. It brightens my day and is an endless source of inspiration to me. Just so you know… YOU ROCK!! And I hope you post some of your sketchbook pages 🙂
yay! this is gonna be fun … and yes, i’ll post some pages for sure!
I’m in. Thanks for the heads up. Xxs
Very good sketches .. Looks like you are very experienced in sketching .. And I hope you post some other sketches ..
Let’s do this!
many years of participating in the sketchbook project has upped my game as a practicing artist. pricy, but worth it.
I’ve made four sketchbooks for this project starting back in 2009… I think. It’s very cool. They used to tour the country in a cool trailer full of the sketchbooks. If you ever get a chance to visit them in Brooklyn…DO! It’s a beautiful space you could spend hours looking at the books and next door is a handmade chocolate factory that fills the air with amazingness.
hi jen! oh that sounds amazing… we’re talking about doing an event there (i just have to get myself to new york!)
How fun! Now the only challenge is where to find the time to do this and #afyecamp, too!
Interesting! Awesome! Amazing!
Finally ordered one…I’ll join you! The deadline has been extended to 4/30/18 for mailing, so these will have to be very “not precious” sketches. Happy New Year!
exactly … and thank goodness on that extension! 😉
