i’m jealous of ellen heck
I came across these gorgeous woodcut/drypoint prints by American printmaker Ellen Heck, and immediately fell in love. I minored in printmaking, so I have a soft spot in my heart for it, and a great admiration for anyone that can do it this well. Amazing technical skills blended effortlessly with pretty, flower-clad girls, AND a group of Frida Kahlo impersonators… jealous? Yes, yes I am.
OMG Love these! Thanks for the introduction. And I want every single print in this Frida series. <3
Holy Mary Cassatt Batman!
I went to her site and all her prints are just gorgeous! Thanks for showing off a talented printmaker.
I love her palette – very original!
I don’t know much about printmaking, but I really love the scratchy surface these all seem to have.
These are wonderful – in fact all her work is exquisite. Thank you for sharing such a treasure.
aren’t they amazing? so glad you all like them as much as I do! : )
