i’m jealous of allison watkins

Allison Watkins is an American artist based in San Francisco… and this is her “closet in San Francisco”. Yep, that’s the title of this gorgeous embroidery piece. The detail {and lack of detail} is absolutely beautiful to me {♥} I wonder if I could get her to come over and embroider my closet… hm, I better go and buy some prettier clothes!

Another artist whose work I love, Christina Foard, has a series of paintings of women’s closets or favorite clothes. I’m always fascinated by how much you can see of a woman’s ( or man’s! ) personality based on what hangs in their closet.

Such an interesting parallel between clothing/fashion and artistic expression. Thank you for sharing these!

    Good afternoon,
I am a fan of this page!
I am trying to reach Allison Wattkins concerning a publication on her work, but do not seem to reach her through her email. Can you provide me with an idea how to reach her, maybe a phone number,
    thank you very much
