i’m still jealous of lisa congdon
I’ve written about her “Collection-a-Day” blog, and I’ve written about the book that came out of that blog, but when I saw the latest mixed media work from San Francisco based illustrator/artist Lisa Congdon, I couldn’t stop myself from writing again… yep, I was in fact, still jealous! I love the color palette, the found paper/images, and don’t even get me started on the tribal patterns around that woman’s neck. Gorgeous!
{ps. I’m working on an exciting new project that I’ll be announcing in January when I speak at Alt Summit… and guess what? Lisa’s involved! Yay!}
I love Lisa’s work. She chooses such great color palettes. The first and fourth ones are my favorites of these.
My 10yo daughter is a collector and is completely enamoured with Lisa’s work. She got to meet Lisa at a showing in Seattle. Little Catie could hardly speak as she shook the hand of her idol . Thanks Lisa, for being so kind to a young collector. 🙂
P.s. Don’t you love her new-ish nordic pieces? I love the one with the squirrels that is reminiscent of embrodiery. They remind me so much of the years we lived in Denmark.
I’m not sure what I love most about this comment!? I think it might be that your 10 year old is a collector of fine art… LOVE IT!!!
