oh,
So, I thought it might be time to finally introduce myself… sort of! I’ve been The Jealous Curator for two years, and I’ve always tried to stay fairly anonymous. Why you ask? Well, I’m an artist too {quite a shy artist!}, and I’ve never wanted my work to be part of this blog – and it’s going to stay that way. But, after speaking at Alt Summit ten days ago it’s been pretty hard to keep all of my secrets secret… especially when the very persuasive Erin Loechner, of Design for Mankind, was one of my roommates! Erin has officially outed me on her blog today, so if you’re interested in seeing my work, you can pop over there for a peek. Ok, that’s all… back to being jealous of other people! ; )
Beautiful, beautiful stuff! So happy to see it go public! ๐
thanks janette! scary, but glad i did it… that erin is one persuasive chick!
I’m jealous of you!
hahaha! funny, but very sweet ~ thanks kathleen, i’m pretty jealous of you too xx
I LOVE this! I want to see more!! I’m glad you are finally getting a little (much deserved) attention. Congrats! ๐
thanks brian… you’re the BEST!
[…] This post was mentioned on Twitter by Brian Downey, the jealous curator. the jealous curator said: hello http://bit.ly/fXsGEY […]
found you because of erin’s sneak peek, your work is awesome! congrats on sharing a piece of it with everyone…hope it was as rewarding as it should have been!
thanks lizzie! yep, it’s been such an amazing day… that erin loechner is one fan-freakin-tastic gal!
Finally! I’ve been so curious all the time. Thanks for a great blog…and art!
Hi Danielle,
I’ve been a big fan of yours since you started guest posting at sfgirlbybay. Thank you so much for sharing your jealousy with us, it’s been a real eye feast.
I’m glad your own work has been outed!
Yes! Getting “outed” never looked so good ๐ And if you don’t mind me asking – do you ever sell any of your work? Because I have the perfect spot for that “mountain boy”…
You’re awesome!
ha! well, no… they’re not for sale anywhere at the moment, but i’m thinking of changing that. and secondly, that’s not a mountain boy… that’s me at age 7!?! don’t worry though – i got that A LOT! {that’s why i have really long hair now!) ; )
Oops~ does it help that I had the same haircut as a kid? Let me know when you change things : )
: ) i think we all had that haircut at some point! yep, i’ll let you know when i have a store set up. thanks jessica!
Congratulations to your artistic outing…:-)
Your are a great artist as well as great curator!
Love your collage! your work helped me understand better your blog (which became one of my daily reading)
waiting to see more of both…
congrats on your outing! ๐
thanks kelly ; )
Thumbs up!
I knew you were a good artist from your curating. You curate like an artist rather than a critic. I would really like to see more of your art! I understand you wanting to keep it separate. Maybe another blog with just your work.. Your blog is amazing by the way!
bobbie – i sent you an email with a link to my personal art blog. thanks so much for your sweet words : )
I have to add, your “not mountain boy” looks like me at age 7 too! I was a tomboy..(do people still use that word?
congrats, danielle! super exciting! it will only make you more loved by all. ; ) as i wrote on dfm, i LOVE seeing parallels in your work and some of the artists you feature. i really like your series that you say is inspired by martha rich. go get ’em, girl! : )
thanks kate xo
DANIELLE!!! I am just catching up! I see I have missed alot! Love your work! Judi with an A sends me! SO happy for you and to now have two blogs to visit to enjoy your talent and wit. You rock!
wow! thank you aris!! that’s means a lot coming from you… because, of course, i think you rock! ; )
