i’m jealous of emily eveleth

From a distance these paintings, by American artist Emily Eveleth, make me want to break every new year’s resolution I’ve ever made about eating sweets, and run right out to buy a big bag o’ jelly doughnuts… but when you get up-close and personal, um well, they get pretty up-close and personal! Oh my ~ am I the only one who’s blushing?

{Thanks to Sara for pointing me to Emily’s work. Oh, and if you need to work off a few broken resolutions yourself, come on over to sfgirlbybay ~ the house that jealousy built just got it’s final room… a gym!}

    Uh-oh… is it just me? At first I just thought “mmmm – jelly doughnuts”, but after looking at them for awhile they started to become, well, anatomical. No?
    …and Catie, so jealous that you not only got to see her work in person, but that you actually met her!
