I don’t know about you, but a speedo-clad man doing leg lifts on my dessert plate might just inspire me not to eat that last bite of cake. Dutch artist Esther Derkx’s screen printed dancers and athletes are such a creative, hilarious, and beautiful way to breathe new life into abandoned, mismatched crockery… and will probably help all of us shed a pound or two. I’m putting my fork down and starting on a few leg lifts as we speak. 1, 2, 3, 4…

ok seriously,
even with all the amazingly beautiful house-wear out there today i never thought i’d find a set of dishes that would literally break my heart (i love them so much it hurts!). and yeah, it may give us all eating disorders, but then again perhaps we’ll only break it out for those extra decadent occasions… or maybe only extra decadent salads.
I totally feel your pain. You know what would make us feel better though? Cake.
