Anthony Freda is a very successful American artist/illustrator whose politically charged work has appeared in Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, Esquire, The New York Times… you get the idea, right? Yep, it’s a very impressive list. Obviously, his portfolio is filled with amazing work to be jealous of, but for some reason I kept gravitating towards the boys with guns {Hm, I wonder what Freud would say about that?}. I love the crow and Mr.Peanut too, but mainly I showed them just so you’d know that Anthony does in fact focus on subject matter other than kids holding heavy artillery… but really, can you blame me? They’re just so cool.
{If you happen to find yourself in Vegas between March 5th ~ 27th you can see his current show, ‘all that glitters’, at Trifecta Gallery.}
Yes, as a matter of fact I will be in Vegas (I live there!). I’m going to go & check out his show. Thanks for the nudge.
PS: I forget how I stumbled onto your blog. It’s a lovely one, hosting tons of enviable art, I agree! I’ve added you to my reader and look forward to stopping by again.
That’s amazing! Enjoy the show… and tell Anthony I say ‘hi’ ; )
{and thanks so much for the kind words about my blog!}
