i’m jealous of mike shine

Flotsam’s Wonder Tonic… Oh, I gotta get me some of that! This amazing carnival-esque/folk art installation at Soap Gallery {San Francisco} is the creation of artist/advertising guy/father/surfer Mike Shine. I’m not only jealous of him, but of everyone that actually got to see this in person {see that guy drinking a beer, yeah… I’m jealous of that guy}. Mike just had another similar installation piece, called Flotsam’s Wonder Wagon, on display at the SFMOMA about a week ago, and I missed that too… I bet that beer guy was there.

Ha! Your post cracked me up today with the comments about “beer guy.” I wish I was there with a beer too—the show looks AWESOME.

Yep, that beer guy is so lucky! : )
The other installation that I would love to see is the Shack Installation at Art Basel. It’s on his site under ‘shows’…

maybe the guy with the beer will read this, and then leave a comment describing what it was like to actually be right in the middle of that amazing installation… beer guy? are you out there? how was the show? how was the beer?
