i’m jealous of sarah dougherty
There is something so familiar, comforting, and brilliantly mundane about these paintings by LA based artist Sarah Dougherty. Have I been here before? During university… or traveling maybe? Well, for whatever reason, {maybe because I’m constantly clipping trendy magazines in a lame attempt to redecorate my house}, I find it so calming to see mismatched, cozy, imperfect spaces where ordinary people live ordinary lives. Maybe I’ll just put the perfect paint chips down, and have a martini instead. Ahh, yes… that’s much better.
{Thanks to Rebecca for sending me the link to Sarah’s work.}
wow, that’s all I can say, wow!
Those are great. I swear I have been there too. Do have any idea what the scale is?
so lovely! lori, i don’t know what the scale is… sarah, if you read this, let us know : )
Love them all but LOVE the bathroom. We have the same color tile in my daughter’s bathroom. ha ha ha Really lovely.
i love these
I found you! Someone wrote me about some paintings of mine they saw linked from somewhere and the search for that (dottie angel?) led me to you! Thank you! These ones you posted are all different sizes..the top one is the largest…7′ x 5.75′. The bathroom is the smallest- 15″ x 13″ or so.
So glad you posted! Thanks!
