i’m jealous of andrea kowch
Part of me really, really wants to visit this farm… however, a much larger part of me is kinda terrified at the thought of spending an afternoon here. Clearly, American artist Andrea Kowch is an insanely talented painter {just look at the detail in the clothes!} who knows exactly how to create feelings of uneasiness… I think it’s probably the tornado-like winds, the abundance of crows, and let’s be honest, those stunned pink-eyed rabbits aren’t making me feel any better about a day trip to the country.
oh my goodness! i am so inspired. thank you for sharing.
It is the slightly freaky women that make me not want to go!
My fave is the dinner scene… very surreal and dream-like.
totally… and the detail is insane! beautiful fabrics, creamy skin, and a very distressed chicken (rightfully so)
I’m jealous, too!
Exquisitely eerie, lushly detailed without being distracting. The “human” subjects’ apparent detachment has a definite lure.
Thank you for sharing!
these painting make me feel.
Disgustingly awesome. Love these so much–thank you for posting them.
Do you know Anne Siems? If not, I think you would love her. In person, her stuff is even more magical/luminous:http://www.annesiems.com/onPanel.html
oooh, also very eerie… kind of ghostly actually.
Someone needs to write them a fairy tale! They are very Grimm and lovely.
The 2nd to last image freaks me right out! Amazing!
My Gosh, this is amazing work – I really connect with this, beautiful – thanks for the link!
These are beautiful, and I don’t mind the creep factor, I’d love to visit that farm.
gorgeous work, totally original. i love the detail, the creepy goth look, the beautiful use of colour.
These paintings are beautiful & haunting at the same time. The siblings eyes have something to say. It’s as if they know a dark secret and their eyes are betraying them.
